In this review, we’re going to be reviewing CyberGhostVPN.

Summary

CyberGhost VPN is also one of the bigger premium VPN providers and I’ll tell you why.

They currently have over 2200 servers in more than 60+ countries, providing worldwide server coverage!

Their VPN servers will help you hide your IP address, encrypt your internet traffic and help you protect your online identity as well as offering you DDOS protection.

The server speed was measured to be fine for heavy and light internet usage tasks. Gaming on a nearby VPN server was no problem, as we managed to keep our ping stable between 9 and 26 ms.

Plus they have the most simultaneous connections available at their subscription providing it for 7 devices!

Summary

Most value for the price! CyberGhost is a premium VPN provider with global coverage, fast enough VPN servers and a zero logging policy for a cheap price. While CyberGhost wasn’t the absolute fastest VPN out there, we do believe their VPN is the most value for the price, as they allow you to secure up to 7 devices with 1 subscription.

Test

We’ve tested the CyberGhost speed on our standard connection in the Netherlands. Now the ping, download and upload speed weren’t as high as in our NordVPN review and our ExpressVPN review but were still more than sufficient for any online activities.

When switching to a VPN in our country, there was barely a noticeable difference in ping, download and upload speed. Our ping and download/upload speed did take a hit when we switched to VPN servers in countries further away from our physical location, as you’d expect when you increase your physical location from a server.

Server test location: The Hague, Netherlands
Physical location: Gelderland, the Netherlands

Ping: Lower is better
Download & upload speed: Higher is better

Location Ping (m/s) Download (mbps) Upload (mbps)
Default speed 7 125 123
VPN-Netherlands 10 92 103
VPN-Germany 23 63 106
VPN-Poland 64 33 27
VPN-Ukraine 77 3 12
VPN-Albania 92 49 49
VPN-USA (New Jersey) 158 2 4

Using CyberGhost in the same country we could browse the internet without any noticable delay.
Gaming, watching Netflix and downloading torrents was no problem at all.

When we switched to VPN servers located at our neighbor Germany: we could also stream, download and game without any big noticable delay.
